He holds a Ph.D. in Immunology and has completed prestigious postdoctoral fellowships at Hershey Medical Center, Penn State University College of Medicine, and the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, USA—institutions recognized for pioneering biomedical research. Throughout his career, Dr. Nagaraj has built a legacy of excellence in drug discovery and early development, contributing significantly from project initiation to regulatory submissions in different therapeutics areas. His tenure includes senior leadership roles at Aurigene Oncology (Dr. Reddy’s R&D subsidiary) and Glenmark Pharmaceuticals, where he was instrumental in driving oncology and immunology pipelines. Most recently, he served as Vice President and R&D Head at Ichnos Glenmark Innovation, where he was a core member of the executive leadership team and successfully established cross-functional drug discovery teams. A co-inventor of multiple clinical candidates, Dr. Nagaraj holds 7 patents and has authored over 30 peer-reviewed publications. His scientific rigor and visionary leadership have earned him 25 awards across academia and industry. He is also an alumnus of the GOLD (Graduate of Leadership Development) program and has completed training in technology commercialization and entrepreneurial leadership through young entrepreneurship and tech-innovation programs.
